Goats and hair sheep sold by head.  Wool sheep sold by CWT(hundred weight) and pairs are sold 1 price for the family.  Our market reports list ALL goats and sheep not just the best ones as some markets do.  This is the prices last sale- they may be higher or lower the next sale.   What is hi bid is what it sells for.

Sat was a slow day.  So slow we sent part of the help home at noon and only had 10 head at that time.  Weather man had everybody hyped up about the weather.  Rain, possible snow or ice and maybe tornado.  In spite of that we had several new people and a good but small crowd. We ended up with 53 head of livestock and about 150 items in the consignment- roosters and some stuff.  Stock was smaller and not as fat as last sale. Next sale will be just before End of Ramaden and the Festival of the Sacrifice.  Smaller crowd probably because of weather but they came to buy.

NC  means no change and NT means- no test- nothing to compare to last sale. NGT means not good test as we may have only had 1 to compare to or weights way different.  BB means bottle babies- under 20#.  Gives price averages but you cannot tell quality of animal just by prices.  In pairs means sold with doe  or ewe- could be 1 or 2 kids.

If it’s a good breed, pretty color, slick, fat it will bring top price.  People are looking for QUALITY breeding stock or good meat products.  Excellent quality is bringing top prices. Skinny, old, scruffy, or sickly the prices drop off petty fast.  Still depends on demand as to where prices go. 

Ramadan is coming up followed by Festival of Sacrifice Hopefully prices will stay good.  But comparison wise this sale not a good comparison to last sale- last sale better quality.
